District Manager Position The District Manager position will report to the Regional Director . Each District Manager will be responsible for a predetermined set of centers. This position will require travel among the centers. The responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to: Plan, coordinate, and manage daily and monthly activities of the centers to drive revenue and profits. Oversee, manage and review the work of the center management team including Center Directors (CD), Associate Center Directors (ACD), Directors of Education (DE), and Associate Directors of Education (ADE). Prepare center budgets quarterly with Regional Director. Monitor, review and give feedback to all centers on weekly statistics and monthly/yearly goals. Profit and Loss accountability for the centers under management. Work closely with centers to plan for growth, or with centers whose numbers are below budget or expectations. Schedule and design monthly meetings with district team and company wide. Hire/develop staff Help to open new sites and expand existing sites. Monitor weekly meetings in each center. Attend meetings when necessary to assess problems and create solutions. Identify opportunities to improve sales and provide necessary sales training. Provide continuous training to Center Directors and staff in mastering sales efforts, including generation of profits. Identify and focus efforts to increase center credibility and business. Communicate and work closely with Regional Manager to insure the highest level of performance in the centers in the district, and keep a unified front on the goals of the company. Motivate staff to set and achieve goals. Provide on-going feedback to the team. Keep centers active in local and community events, affiliations with schools, business groups and other organizations that will impact their business. Improve and implement systems that will enhance quality, efficiency, and profitability. Monitor percentage of school contacts and parent conferences held each month to determine the center s efficiency in this area. Monitor percent of accounts receivable to earned revenue. Monitor delivery of Sylvan programs during instruction. Provide Center Directors and Directors of Education with continued training and support and assist with planning and producing staff meetings, contests and projects. Introduce and implement new Sylvan products. Ensure program quality and student achievement in the district. Responsible for QAR compliance. Resolve internal and external employee and customer complaints.
